In addition to international medical insurance plans, Medex offers comprehensive assistance benefits for everything from lost passports to lost lives. Whether you unexpectedly are delayed on a trip and run out of prescription medication to requiring an emergency medical evacuation, MEDEX will make arrangements to ensure that your health is maintained abroad. TravMed Choice – Outbound – Pre–existing Medical Condition: The Policy will not pay for loss or expense incurred as the result of Injury or Sickness of the Covered Person or Family Member which manifests itself during the 180 days immediately preceding and including the Effective Date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled throughout the 180 day period. A Sickness has manifested itself when: (a) medical care or treatment has been given; or (b) there exist symptoms which would cause a reasonably prudent person to seek diagnosis, care, or treatment.

TravMed Abroad –Pre–existing Medical Condition: The Policy will not pay for loss or expense incurred as the result of Injury or Sickness of the Covered Person which manifests itself during the 6 months immediately preceding and including the Effective Date, unless the condition is controlled through the taking of prescription drugs or medication and remains controlled (without any change) throughout the 6 month period.
