Student Plans- Collegiate Care:
Int'l Students, Scholars & Families, while studying/teaching in the USA

Student Plans – Collegiate Care plans are for foreign student studying in the USA - Is International Medical, Evacuation and Repatriation insurance for International Students, Scholars and their Families, while studying or teaching in the USA. The rates are per person per month. The minimum coverage is one month up to a maximum of one year which can be paid monthly. This plan meets visa requirements.

Collegiate Care Plans were created with the International Student in mind. Our plans are designed to provide student insurance coverage in the USA for those that have a current passport or visa and are temporarily residing outside of your home country or country of permanent residence while actively engaged in education or research activities. Your spouse and dependent children are also eligible for coverage if they are accompanying you and enrolled on your policy.

We want international students to enjoy your time abroad in the USA and provide the student insurance coverage you need to ensure your trip can be worry-free from the accidents or medical issues that could arise while you are away from your home. Collegiate Care Plans are focused on giving you the coverage you, your spouse and/or dependent children need as you take this journey to the USA.

As an international student, you are considered "actively engaged" in education, teaching, or research activities if you are one of the following: F1/J1/H1 Visa holder; undergraduate – registered for and attending classes on full - time basis, graduate student, scholar, researcher, or teacher who is invited by an educational organization, students involved in education, educational activities, or research related activities. For Students to be eligible you must be actively attending classes for at least the first 31 calendar days after the date for which your coverage is purchased. Home study, correspondence, internet classes, and television courses do not fulfill the eligibility requirements of Collegiate Care Plans.

Permanent residents (green card holders) and US Citizens are not eligible for coverage under this Plan. This plan was designed only for international students traveling to the USA. Your home country is the location declared when your application was made. Injury or Accidents while on an Incidental trips or excursions to a country outside the USA during the period of coverage are also covered. Please be sure to check the benefits and policy exclusions on your personalized policy documents and make sure they fit your requirements. Upon effective date - this plan is fully earned and non-refundable. There are no partial refunds.
